Nature's Touch For A Radiant Skin
Stacy’s Shea’s was created 20 years ago out of needing something to soothe the itching an dryness of eczema.
My first eczema outbreak was in elementary school. I remember my forearms being so dry, that the skin cracked no matter how much Vaseline and or cocoa butter I put on or how many times. The amount of oatmeal baths was ridiculous.
My parents took me to a dermatologist and I was prescribed an ointment that had steroids in it.
The side effects were weight gain, dry mouth, and UTI’s. Right. So needless to say I ditched the
ointment and settled for Aveeno and Vaseline and weekly oatmeal baths. I changed my diet and only used the ointment on extreme outbreaks.
Fast-forward to 2004. I wanted something better than lotion but less oily and messy than the
shea butter I was getting, so I began to research the origin of shea butter, its healing properties, and various ways to produce a luxury product that wouldn't cause an eczema outbreak, leave my skin moisturized all day, reduce the appearance of the scars my previous outbreaks left, even my skin tone, and smell good. Most of all, I wanted it to be light.
I started adding different scented body oils and wore them every day, after my shower, and before I dry off. The amount of compliments I got daily made my family and friends start asking for shea butter as gifts for different occasions. I make scented and unscented. Some scents I make up myself, however, if you have a favorite perfume or cologne, I can create a shea butter
with a similar scent.
The final product, after years of perfecting and trial and error, is Stacy’s Handmade Whipped Shea Butter.
